Lots of people run things like X and Andrew. And while it would be nice if everyone made their software available and the same for all window managers, it's a reality that things like Interleaf are hard enough to write to begin with, and that maintaining identical products under 3 window managers would be a reeeeeal hassle. Now don't get me wrong -- I'm not "defending" them as much as I want to point out that Sunwindows isn't the only thing you can run on a sun, like DEC won't admit that anything other than VMS runs on vaxes. anthony a datri scribe systems aad%gold.scribe.com@vb.cc.cmu.edu ---------------------------------------- Submissions to: desktop%plaid@sun.com -OR- sun!plaid!desktop Administrivia to: desktop-request%plaid@sun.com -OR- sun!plaid!desktop-request Paths: {ihnp4,decwrl,hplabs,seismo,ucbvax}!sun
