Omaha, NE Lines: 11 My SONY Betamax SL-HF 400 vcr has a problem on 'sharpness' control, nothing happened on pictures' sharpness when I tried to adjust it. It uses a potentiometer to change the dc voltage on the base or gate of a transistor. When I swept the potentiometer the changing voltage responsed fine. But where does this control voltage go ? How does a vcr sharpness function work ? Any idea, comment will be highly appreciated. BTW, I noticed that if you shut off the Hi-Fi function you will get a better picture from a HiFi vcr. It is true on SL-HF 400, others ? don't know yet.
