Eng. Dept., U of Maryland, College Park, MD 20742 Lines: 9 I have some idea of how data is retreived from a CD, error corrected, and converted to analog signal. However, I have not seen any information about the recording process. Obviously, a steep low-pass filter followed by A/D conversion starts the process. Does anyone know what kind of filtration is involved? Is there a standard specifying how the digitization process is to be carried out? Also, is the digitized signal processed digitally in any way during CD mastering? Josip@eneevax.umd.edu
