Keywords: Software, The Ticket That Exploded Message-ID: <364@flatline.UUCP> Date: 5 Feb 88 15:27:30 GMT Organization: flatline in Houston(Montrose, really), Tx. Lines: 17 Just finished _Software_ a few days ago, and started on Burroughs' _The_Ticket_That_Exploded_. Burroughs has a symbiote called a 'Happy Cloak' in TTTE. Then in _Software_, Sta-Hi finds a symbiote that clamped down onto his neck and called itself a 'Happy Cloak'. Anybody out there besides me think it's a tribute of sorts? There many other of these similar-prop things out there that I've missed? I've just started reading Burroughs, am I to expect lots of these synchronicities/tributes? -- "Occult symbols include ... the 'peace' symbol and the Jewish 'Star of David'" -- From the Back In Control Handbook "$20,000 a year is a small price to not have to talk to our kids" -- Jello Biafra, commenting on the "Back in Control" program Girls play with toys.
