Dear Daffy, I didn't claim Indiana had rivers, snow, or rocks. I said it had hills, not mountains. If you don't think it has something steeper than a golf course, you haven't *been* to Brown County. Take a field trip, it is remarkably lovely just east of you. >The hills in Wisconsin dwarf what's found here! As it happens, dim-bulb, I know my state quite well, learned to swim in Devil's Lake (which hasn't changed much in the 46 years since) and can give a good account of our geography. Southwest Wisconsin is in fact fairly hilly, though our friend to the west who started all this would vigorously deny that. I suppose you're a bit late arriving on the scene and missed his comments (your brainwave has still not caught up, but that's a different matter). Where's your loyalty, my man? Here I was defending that cultural chasm in which you live, and you object. Sheesh! >You know, Wisconsin is a nice state. Too bad they have Madison. A lot of us find Madison to be something of a trial, I'll admit. It could be worse -- ever been to Peoria? Muncie? Olathe? But I have to agree, Wisconsin is nice -- in fact, I think Wisconsin/Minnesota/ Michigan (the Northern Interior, we call it) is about the best part of the country. >\ drop me in the water / Good idea! Since paddling seems to be your thing, if Wisconsin's so all-fired wonderful, how come all our paddlers drive like mad to West Virginia or Tennessee for their fun, hm? ==INTERNET: anderson@vms.macc.wisc.edu====Jess Anderson======(home:)======== | UUCP: {harvard, rutgers, allegra, ucbvax} 1210 W.
