I have been getting the "LGL not loaded" error after doing a format or
diskcopy under 3COM 3+share 1.1 & 1.2 for several months.  3COM's tech support
said that you could either do a DIR or reboot the machine to solve the problem.
I found a "cleaner" solution that I thought might help out some people
on the net:

Just run the format/diskcopy while the *default* drive is a floppy, hard disk,
or 3+Started drive.  This works great from 3+Menus by setting the "Startup
Run Location" to C:\ (a 3+started drive on our system).
