We plan to use a 6809 based board to perform compression and packetizing. With only a 6809(2Mhz) advanced compression methods like LZW are right out because of CPU power. Our plan is to use Huffman codes off several fixed tables along with some kind of run-length encoding. Keeping in mind our strict CPU limitation, can anyone provide pointers and/or advice for compression info? Thank you. Whatever happened to him ? He pulled it on Rorshach and Rorshach dropped him down an elevator shaft.
