Has anyone written, seen or considered a "database-mode" that would
allow you to edit database-type files?  I'm thinking of files that are
organized as a set of records, each of which has some fields within
it, with arbitrary separators.  The mode would provide some functions
for editing, sorting, and printing it out in nice ways.

I just thought I'd ask before trying to write it, in case anyone else
has done it or just has ideas.
