Final Word II is two removes from Emacs, or rather one remove and one move closer. The fundamental entities (buffers, windows, and so on) are pretty similar; the standard key-binding is reasonably close, and they supply an emacs-like set of bindings (and of course you can build your own). The only significant problems I have switching between the two is trying to use unix-specific features, like asynchronous processes. -- Bard Bloom
