This morning (for me, at any rate), comp.lang.fortran had a summary
of the proposed standard and some of the objections to it.  I have
saved a copy which may be ftp'd from "ftp". 

Since we just had the HCCA and there were several opposing paradigms
for programming discussed (DeBenedictus,Dalley,Shapiro),
let me start a discussion:

	Question:  What if anything is good/bad with the 8x proposal?

	Question:  What serious counterproposals can this community make
		to X3J3?
