    Couple of questions dealing with fortran;
        1)  What is/are the difference between fortran 77  and what I've heard

refered to as watfiv? (is it really fortran 77 based and if it is can it run
standard fortran 77 subprograms?)
        2)   General opinions as two which is "better".
        3)   Which is used most commonly. (also-how does fortran compare to
engineering languages.)
        4)   General opinions of fortran 77. (by the way, what happened to
