Organization: Oregon State Universtiy - CS - Corvallis, Oregon Lines: 17 Earlier there was a discussion about the wisdom behind not supporting raise_to_the_power operator or function, I think the question was initiated from a Prof/Teacher. 1) Have any of you attempted or assigned to your students a rewrite of sin()? 2) Mac-Laurin series provided a good mean of doing this?? I couldn't find Taylors'?? 3) How to get the maximum digits of accuracy as will allow your host language, (ex: TP3 11 significant) ? My 1st implementation is is "straight forward" from the formula if you want to take a look at it, let me know. 4) Have and body peeked at the TP run-time library to see how they do it?
