Seems like >a unique possibility! > I don't know exactly what you are aiming for, but there was once a simple text formatter which takes a regular text file (with troff- look-alike .commands) and concat to it a pre-written postscript definitions....it just appends the text file at the end and the whole thing can be sent to the printer directly.
