  We have an X driver for magic that currently supports 8plane displays
and b&w displays.  Currently we are using it on GPX's and b&w vs2000's.
I am working on adding 4 plane support for the color vs2000 now.

  We got this driver from DEC awhile ago.  I believe we've been using
it for a couple of years.  The driver itself is pretty straight 
forward.  I don't think there is any problem with distributing this
as it did come from DEC and not from UCB.
