I think it would be good for several reasons: first, it would stimulate discussion, second, it would refute the claims of some people who say that all the interesting OS problems have been solved (the life after UNIX question), and third I would hope that it would stimulate research in OS by giving people interesting problems to investigate. So, send me your favorite problem. I will collect them, edit them and post them. If we do a good job I would hope that we could get the list into one of the OS newsletters.
