In the AT&T Unix PC (aka the s4, safiri, mini frame, all by convergent) the floppy controller is said to be a WD2797. I'd like to rip out the floppy and put in some sort of tape drive. Does anyone have any hard info on what devices will talk to this chip? I just need hardware - I'll do the software myself. Ideally, I'd like a 2-40 meg tape drive that is cheap, cheap, cheap. -- Larry McVoy lm@arizona.edu or ...!{uwvax,sun}!arizona.edu!lm Use the force - read the source.
