That is, how many packets per second should a given CPU be able to send, exclusive of the subnetwork protocol or the communications medium? I am particularly interested in data for the VAX 11/785, but will take data for any CPU. Please note that I am not interested in simply answering this question, but in finding public, non-proprietary measurements that can be publicly cited. Thank you.
