Steve thinks that the display of junked articles takes too much time on a slow terminal connection. I think so, too. That's why my rn invocations include "-1200-t", which means, "if the bps rate is 1200 or less, then turn on 'terse' mode." I think this will do what Steve wants. It doesn't entirely eliminate the display of junking, but makes it much less verbose.
