I need to find out which software and versions I should be running so that I can stop using modems for communications with the outside world. Specifically, how do I get UUCP to run over a TCP/IP and/or TELNET connection? Do I need new software (we're running SunOS v3.5) or is there some way I can beat on L-devices to know about using telnet to call a remote system. Actually, I could care less about UUCP if I can make mail and news work, but first things first. Your help is greatly appreciated. --- David J.
