The HD would be driven > off the 2090 card and he would like to have it internal to the computer. Anyone having a maximum configuration system has faced this problem. My solution is fairly simple and allows two (2) 3.5 inch hard drives to be added internally. Get a simple hardcard bracket designed for an IBM-PC I don't know of a place you can get one, I just had some lying around. There should be predrilled holes onto which you can cleanly mount the first hard drive. To add a second you probably have to do some drilling or something. Where's a good place to put it in a 2000? I put mine in first 100 pin slot to the left the 86 pin CPU slot. This still leaves four (4) Amiga slots (one is a little tight because of screws) and the CPU slot free with plenty of room for the drives. Being paronoid about shorts(my bracket was metal, I taped over the slot connector with electrical tape (useful stuff, I always carry it with me, you know, like MacGyver and duct tape, ha ha). If you add two internal drives and already have a 5.25 inch floppy, you'll need a y-adapter for power. BTW, I have a system with two 3.5 inch floppies, a 5.25 inch floppy, two 3.5 inch 20 meg ST-506 hard drives and A2090, A2052, A2088 and 20 meg IBM hardcard , and, getting to the point, my B2000 power supply has no problem handling this, so there. > Marc Siskin > > \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ > /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// > All opinions (Do I even have them?) are my own and don't represent anything > my two employers have to say. > Marcus_Siskin@um.umich.cc.edu Working at the University of Michigan. > Not representing them. > U.Snail -----> 2928 Washtenaw Apt 2B > Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197 > Ma Bell -----> 313-764-0424 (Work) > 313-434-5668 (Home) > *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ > > > -- (((((((((()((((((((())(((((((()))((((((())))(((((()))))((((())))))(((())))))) __ Ed Gunther COMMODORE AMIGA TEST ENGINEERING / /\ "The LAST line of defense, if "THEY" let us!" < == /__\ UUCP ...{allegra,ihnp4,rutgers}!cbmvax!gunther \__ / \ PHONE 215-431-9356 (life or death only please!)
