I didn't bother building an enclosure for it, so it just sort of hangs off the side of my 1000. It only took a couple of evenings to put together (I could have done it in one, but I was busy) and it came right up... no problems. Their driver seems to be quite stable, and I've even received one (or was it two?) unsolicited updates from them. My only gripe is that the driver is not interrupt driven, so things get a little jerky during heavy disk access. Then again I have a very slow disk attached (80-90msec access), so who am I to complain? The backup program they provide is nothing special, I've switched over to using Fred Fish's BRU. Bottom Line: Provided you're not afraid of electronics, and you can get st506 drives cheaply, it's a definite win. -- There's sparks a comin' outa' my head!!! ...!harvard!umb!ileaf!ebr Evan B.
