Some people asked me about assempro .
I have posted these messages as a customer that has used the program for 3 days
(now more than a week) .

It is an assembler published by ABACUS (there is even an assempro for the atari
ST's). it cost me $85 (without tax) . 
I bought it because of its reviews in ST mags (I dont own one but it is good 
to know what others are doing.) 
You can find it at any good amiga software dealers.
(It need the LOADWB command to have been executed). 
When assempro is called, there are 2 windows overlapping : assembler and 
editor, under the editor window there is a third window : the debugger window.
Click on the window and you are in the utility. 
It is stated in the doc that it can deal with a ramdisk . There is no linking
needed . 
When assembling , if there is a bug then a window appears showing the faulty
line (real nice if you have tons of include files) .
It is not a BATCH assembler . (assembler used as example in the amigados
manual) . 
The pluses of that package : 
   - all in one .
   - debugging is not a chore anymore (well... less time wasted)
   - on line help key (no more thick Rkm on the table or on the lap) 
   - heavy usage of windows 
   - automatic icon'ning (?? right term ??) of the executable files (so you 
     that you can run the prg from the workbench) 
the minuses of that package : 
   - primitive referencing of the _LVO routines (make your own !!!)
   - documentation is average (condensed infos on very few lines : you have 
     to read each line at least twice ...) 
   - doesnt seem to have been especially designed for the amiga .(even
     though it is remarkable) 

                             that's it .

I am not working for abacus . (I even think that their 8-bit sof./book division
st*nks ) .
