Speaking of vibrations... While playing a certain game yesterday, I
became frustrated and pounded my desk.  At that moment, the hard drive
(Miniscribe 40M ST-506) started whining a lot louder than it had been!
It still seems to work but it remains unnaturally loud.
Moral: Don't make your own earthquakes!
