Ross) Organization: Structured Home for Disturbed Programmers Lines: 24 After posting my recent comments about the Palomax -MAX- package, I received a letter from palomax informing me that they are about to release a (free) update to their driver which will allow: o Interrupt driven seek operations (no more jerky systems) o Allow an interleave factor or 2 (instead of three) reducing the time needed to read a complete track. They also said that their driver/kit works with the new fast file system and yields a read rate of 200kb/s and a write rate of 81kb/s. As I said before, I'm quite happy with the package and support they provide. Since I had an st506 drive lying around from a defunct zenith z-100 (anyone wanna' buy the z100?), I was able to put together a harddisk system for about $250 including the -MAX- package.
