Keywords: TCP/IP Ethernet Message-ID: <579@kilroy.engin.umich.edu> Date: 10 Feb 88 03:31:07 GMT Organization: caen Lines: 26 I posted a query on getting a DN-3000 with an ADD-ETH Ethernet and a Token ring board operating as a gateway. First, the ADD-ETH board is not checked for in the startup tests - if fact it will fail that test if you configure the board as a controller. Let it be unknown, and your system gets past that problem. Next, there was a series of calls from a friendly who reads the net (THANKS, PAL!), who helped in getting not only the right /etc/hosts setup on the Apollo side, but gave me the corrections to the Ultrix side, too (they were not configured right, nor running the right daemons). One hint - newly created pty's work a lot better if you delete the old ones first. I won't go into the symptoms here. So, the gateway works fine! Thanks for the help. ___________________ Darryl C.
