  Jonathan Gelfand asked about problems with parity errors when connecting to
a VAX with a 300 baud modem using AE Pro.
  I suggest playing around with the parity, byte size and stop bits sent by
AE Pro.  They can all be changed fairly easily with AE Pro.  If you have an
old version, you might try upgrading or using Mousetalk.
