What this means is that files should not be sent in EXECUTIONER's 6-bit packing mode. The 4-bit packing mode seems to work fine since no "special" characters are used. Unfortunately, the "MINI-MENU in UltraMacros" file was in 4-bit packing mode. The garbage (and probably lost characters) were most likely caused by transmission errors between the originator (Grant Delaney) and the APPLE2-L list server. ------------------------------------------------------------------- J.
