Actually, I have fould AEPro to be a pretty good program.  Anyway, as far as the
 problems.

1)  You lose characters when the screen clears due to the delay of this routine.

I am not sure if this is the fault of AEPro or 80-col cards.  If you are using a

Super Serial card, use interrupts.  Otherwise.....

2)  Don't know about the arrow keys, I have a II+.
