It is said to According to Central Point Software the reason that the 3.5 utility does not work on the Unidisk 3.5 is because of failings in the design of the Unidisk, it will not work well enough for the utility to do everything they want it to do. It also copies Mac disks by the way. Someone mentioned having compatability problems with the CPS Universal Drive Controller, according to the addendum I recieved with my Copy ][+ 8.2, the programs have this problem because of the protection scheme, and if you copy them with Copy ][+, that portion of the protection is removed. Also, if you find a parameter that doesn't work, please let Central Point know, this is there only way of detecting new protection schemes. Call them up and tell them -- chances are that they will send you (or tell you) a new parameter entry right away. In my experience Central Point Software has been very good about supporting their product. I bought Copy ][+ at 6.0 and have upgraded from there very cheeply ($15 for the latest update to the version 8 level). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |UUCP: ...!ucbvax!ucscc!ucscb!kreme |There are places I'll remember, | |ARPA: kreme@ucscb.ucsc.edu |All my life, though some have changed, | |BITNET: kreme@ucscb@ucscc.BITNET |Some forever, not for better | |Kreme Korp Computers (an imaginary |Some are gone, and remain... | | company created by me, for me) | PM/JL | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |These views are not those of my school, my country, my employer, or me ;-) | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
