Also, when using Tandy XENIX on the same motherboards, the problem goes away. Are you running anything while getting a LARGE (more than 3 meg compressed) of news? Try catting a large text file from the main console at that time, and wave bye-bye to Microport. By the way, the problem got better (did NOT go away) when we installed a 20Mhz '386 board with 4 Meg of .6 wait-state RAM. The problem has also gotten better when a faster (40ms as opposed to 65ms) drive has been used for news storage.
