I've built lots of systems and installed the reset switch by putting a momentary-closure button wired between the "Power Good" wire and ground. The "Power Good" line is, in the AT and 386AT Clones I built, the first wire in the motherboard power connector, closest to the rear-panel of the machine. "Your mileage may vary.
