Look first at the config.sys file in your root directory.  It should
have the line

     device = ansi.sys

or some equivalent lurking about in there.  Next check to see that
ansi.sys exists where you said it was in the 'device ='.  If all that
is in place, then start checking any TSR's you may have added recently
since they may be intercepting the video int.
