Some versions of Western Digital XT Hard Disk controller software use a software interrupt that conflicts with software interrupt usage by QC. Certainly, the folks at Microsoft chose the software interrupt they used just to spite you. Of course, others might say that QC works just fine but your disk controller is brain damaged and wiped out your disk.
