Subject: Can't boot from Mac II hd

We have a Mac II with a Rodime 450RX internal drive.  We have Finder
5.5 and I don't know which System installed.  The II won't boot from the
hard drive.  No error messages, just a blank diskette icon at startup.
Does this sound like a hardware or software problem.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks,
