I don't really know anything about Excel, but I did try to start it once with a debugger installed and set to stop whenever someone patched a Toolbox or OS trap. It turns out that Excel redefines a lot of the resource-handling functionality of the Mac, which is exactly what a product like Suitcase has to tinker with. I would guess that they get in each other's way somehow. If that's what is happening I can't think of a cure, except perhaps to buy a spreadsheet from a company that doesn't feel the need to patch GetResource in an application. -- Fred Wamsley {dual,hplabs}!well!alcmist;well!alcmist@lll-crg.arpa; CIS 72247,3130; GEnie FKWAMSLEY;ATT Mail fwamsley; USPS - why bother?
