According to Tech Note #123 this is a bug in the LaserWriter ROMs (the Note
operator).  The problem occurs when you print using manual feed and have a
different paper tray than the paper you specified in the Print dialog.

Putting in a Legal size paper tray should solver the problem.  According to
the Tech Note, specifying Larger Print Area (under Options in Page Setup),
will also solve  the problem.
