And it works. Sort of. The patch destroys the Multifinder-compatibility of the game. If I run it under Multifinder, it works as if I hadn't applied the patch (it quits without warning). Without Multifinder, though, it works OK. The only problem is cosmetic: when the program tries to show you your cards or tries to display the About window, it apparently puts the main screen into monochrome mode (the desktop blacks out, the apple menu appears in black and white UNLESS you pull down the apple menu, etc.) Strange bugs indeed. Oh, well, it seems to work well enough for my purposes. Thanks to whoever posted the patch. (Now, if only the author would really FIX it, so I could use it under Multifinder... hint, hint!)
