Where can one find information on the disk structure of Mac disks ?
Things like, how sectors are arranged, what format is used to store
files, tag information, file allocation table information, Volume
header information etc.  Are there any books that would have such
information ?  Would Inside Mac have such stuff ?

All Mac books I have seen in local bookstores are aimed at people who 
are novice users and deal with tips, hints, shortcuts etc.

There's got to be a place where this information can be found.
