The end result is: 1) RIP out via ethernet (old address). 2) Route via new address in oddgw. We realize that this is going to introduce an extra hop for traffic destined for oddnet which originates on the ethernet, but is the result of the work around and appears to be unavoidable when operating incompatible machines.
