      Research Associate / Systems Programmer

To help design and implement the operating system for
University of Toronto's multiprocessor HECTOR Project.
HECTOR (HECto computer from TORonto) is to be a 100 CPU
system with uniformly addressed shared memory using a high
speed bus.  The boards, bus, memory mapping hardware, and
operating system are being designed and constructed as part
of the project. The CPUs are expected to be the SUN SPARC
RISC chip.  Interested candidates with significant systems
programming experience and familiar with Unix internals
should send me a CV. We offer an exciting academic research
environment, a very interesting project and a salary
commensurate with experience.
