Thirty days ago I posted a net-wide message asking for votes
for/against a new group called 'sci.psych' (since RENAMED
sci.psychology) for discussion on psychological topics.  The votes have
been tabulated and posted to 'news.groups'.  The tally is:

	YES - 98
	NO --  1

I believe that this should be sufficient to establish sci.psychology.
In addition, Erik Fair (fair@ucbarpa.berkeley.edu) has agreed to open
up the INET sci.psychology distribution to USENET thereby tying
together both populations.

I've sent a message to backbone@rutgers.edu asking for sci.psychology to be
created.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the voting process for the
creation of this new news group.
