When I was 17 I was involved in a very serious accident and received 18 (Yes that is 18!) tranfusions over a period of 3 weeks. Without that I would have been DEAD! No question about it. Since then I have, like Dave, taken 1 hour every 3 months to give blood. I have given 29 times so far and will be going again next week.
