To keep from introducing parasitesthere is a relatively simple procedure. When you are ready to feed your fish, net the brine shrimp from the package and place them in a small bowl of FRESH water (dechlorinated) for approximately 10 minutes (this will cause any parasites to explode). Then, net the shrimp from the bowl and feed them to your fish. This is the same kind of procedure used for treating marine fish that have para-sites. So far, it has worked pretty well.
