These newsgroups have been good for an occasional, but mostly sophomoric,
laugh.  I can't say the level of the conversation was particularly
elevated, nor was it enlightening, but it did serve to while away dead
time.

As I am leaving my current job for another where there is no newsfeed,
I would like to take the time to make a few last wishes for the more
memorable personalities:

To Valerie Maslak:

You seem like a very kind, reasonable person.  A voice of sanity among
the reams of drivel that come over soc.singles.  I don't know how
you do it.  I wish you happiness and fulfillment in whatever your
ambitions are.

To Richard Sexton:

A flashlight so that you can find your ignition.  No batteries, of course, and
it will be too dark to find them.  Ignore the hysterical screams of
those with no sense of humor.  Keep your .signature the way it is/was,
and tell the next complainer to take a flying fuck at a rolling donut.

To The Brahms Gang:

Keep baiting the fascist, reactionary assholes.  Those who seem to post to
these groups are so stupid you are guaranteed to get a good warm
flame each time.  They won't learn anything though.  Remember the
Reagan Fascist conspiracy motto:  Keep them dumb and ignorant so they
won't know more than we do!

To Rhonda Scribner:

If you are for real, I will you a writing course.  While I agree with
most of your statements, your postings could be 4 lines long and still
say as much.

To Mark Ethan Smith:

If you are the product of someone's or some group's sense of humor,
congratulations!  You, more than anyone else can really get them going!
That takes rare talent and I tip my hat to a superior intellect!

If you are real, you need counseling.  You need to learn not to take
what other people say so seriously.  Do you have a job?  If so, where
do you get the time to write the reams of . . of . . prose you
produce?  Get some counseling, then get a life.  Get away from your
terminal and meet and talk to real people.  And don't whine that
society prevents you from doing so.  That's a bullshit excuse made by
people who want to insure that everyone is as miserable as they are.
Your life is what you make it.  Only you can fix it.  The government won't.

To Eric Mading/John Meaders:

Lifetime memberships in the following societies: The NRA (National
Rifle Association), the Ronald Reagan Fan Club, and the Ed Meese
Sensitivity and Integrity in Government Society.  Also Frontal
Lobotomies from behind (preferably with a shovel).  I would then
like to see them become single mothers with no job and no
education and see if their attitudes change.

To the other young fascists on the net:

History lessons.   Assuming they still teach reading at your schools,
you should read some history.  You will then see that your opinions
and solutions to the world's problems really are as shortsighted
and ignorant as us more informed people say they are.  Most of what
you yahoos suggest would be fine if the world and its resources
were limitless.  Most of your suggestions were tried by the Romans,
for starters, and numerous other societies since.  Why do you think
they'll work now?  Drugs, ignorance, stupidity or a combination of
all three, I guess.
