There must come a time when drinkers are thought of as >disgusting and foul sub-human beings just as smokers are now thought of. Of course. Just what we need. Another "Us vs. Them", where "Them" is yet another group of people to be looked down upon, hated and discrimi- nated against. How conveeeenient! Aren't we special? Gee Ray, if you're lucky, maybe all those disgusting and foul sub-human beings will get pushed right back into their fetid gin cellars where they belong. That accomplished, nobody with a drinking problem will *ever* seek help because they'll know that all they have to look forward to is hatred and ridicule. And if they never seek help, they'll rot and die in their alcoholic stupors and pools of vomit, quickly forgotten. Given enough time, all current recovering alcoholics will finally die off, freeing up all that space in the churches, hospitals, etc., that's now being wasted by rehabs and A.A. meetings! And all those wasted dollars now going toward alcoholism research and treatment can be spent on more essential things, like legislation and enforcement of public morals. And making the trains run on time. Seriously, Ray, I've been listening to your verbal Superior Dance ever since you first started posting. I've disagreed with a lot of it, but have refrained from responding because your opinions are no more or less valid than anyone else's. But I just couldn't let this proposition of socially encouraged hatred pass. Sickened, -Ed Horch {pyrnj, westmark}!argon!ebh "Christ and Marx and Wood and Wei / Led us to this perfect day"
