Many of the databases are run by special interest groups or industry sectors. Some are accessed through DIALOG, TELENET, or direct dial. It is really surprising how much is available on-line. The book was published in 1984, which makes it out of date now, this means only that there are probably a lot more databases that are not in the book. Unfortunately the book is out-of-print, and I do not know of a newer book that replaces it. We managed to find a couple copies at a local bookstore a couple of months ago. You might find oaround. I hope this is useful, Keith Swenson
