Try one of the following:

- set the rmail-primary-inbox-list variable to your list of inbox files
- set the Mail: babyl option in your rmail-file-name file
- pass an explicit argument to rmail-get-new-mail
- set the rmail-spool-directory variable to your mailer's spooling directory
