Message-ID: <1137@louie.udel.EDU> Date: 15 Feb 88 17:22:39 GMT Sender: mmdf@udel.EDU Lines: 19 I'm putting the reboot code back into my copy of Minix (I had it out for a while). Looking at the cntrl-al-del boot strategy, shouldn't some clean be done before reboot? The 1.1 version (in the book) just reboots on the key-code combination. What's a good way for the tty task to sync the filesystem? Would just sending a message start some nasty deadlock scenarios? I'm currently going to use the PC-AT keyboard controller to pulse the reset line. At a later date, I may try to drop back into ms/dos (although I'm not sure how much work it will be to restore the hardware environment). marty ARPA: leisner.henr@xerox.com GV: leisner.henr NS: martin leisner:henr801c:xerox
