There was a BOF at the 2nd TCP/IP Interoperability Conference about defining
application level and interrupt level standards for sockets for PC's.  It
was also discussed on this list prior to the conference.  I have heard
nothing since.  Has anything really happened with this, and will the
manufacturers really get on board and make this happen any time soon?
