I am interested in only those that do not require a Bridgecard. Since a bigger box can hold more data, I would assume that for a given technology, a drive designed to fit in a 3.5 inch disk position would hold less than one designed to fit in the 5.25 inch spot. I plan to configure the A2000 with 2 3.5 inch diskette drives and put the hard disk in the 5.25 inch place, so I'd think I should be able to get a rather big one. Such drives for IBM PC/AT go up to 60 Megabytes, so that can be a reference. What is available for the A2000, NATIVE, from which I can boot, etc. Vendor, Model, Capacity, Size, Bootability, Price, Reputation all appreciated. +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Phil Howard, KA9WGN bitnet: | | Research Programmer internet: | | Computing Services Office or unix: | | University of Illinois at U/C mci: 10222-1-217-BIG-MAIN | | 1304 West Springfield Avenue at&t: 10288-1-217-BIG-MAIN | | Urbana, IL 61801 sprint: 10333-1-217-BIG-MAIN | | Phil's corollary: "If I was able to fix it, it must have been broke!" | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
